I had my 29 week check up on Wednesday Aug. 11 and everything went great. They measured my belly and it measured right at 29 weeks. No problems and I m feeling pretty good! The doctor also felt my belly to see how Kaylee is positioned. Her little head is down and her feet are at the top of my belly. And what I ve been feeling at my rib cage is her kicking me. She is comfy on my left side. Also I m starting to go to the doctor every two weeks since i m in my third trimester and its getting closer to my due date. Our next appointment is Aug. 25th.
This week we also took the hospital tour at Henry Medical Center to see the maternity ward. On our tour we got lots of helpful information on the labor and delivery and how the process will go when I go into labor. Its such a nice hospital.
We also bought a new car this week. I had a ford mustang which had no room for a baby. So we got a ford fusion sport. Its so roomy and great on gas! We wanted to make sure we got car that had lots of room for a car seat and we wanted to get it before Kaylee is born.
John and I had a busy week but its making time go by fast. Next week will be the same we have lots to do!

25 week visit
We had another great visit on Monday July 12 we got to listen to kaylee's heartbeat this visit. It was a short visit since I have no real medical issues going on. We are so thankful!
On Wednesday July 14 I had real bad contractions around 5:50am, So we ended up going to Henry Medical to get checked out. Everyone was so nice there I got a room right away and the nurse hooked me up to a monitor to check for more contractions. We also got to hear her heartbeat the entire time. Dr. Schilling came to see me he said I need to rest and drink a gallon of water a day to keep hydrated.
Tomorrow I have my glucose test at 8am and I ve been told the stuff you drink does not taste very good. So we ll see how it goes.
John and I found a crib, her bedding, and a changing table for Kaylee. Her room is all painted and her crib is put together and John is working on putting her changing table together. I have pictures that i ll post. We are just shopping around for a dresser and once we find one her room will be complete furniture wise.

Thank heaven for little GIRLS!
ITS A GIRL! Her name is Kaylee Faith and she is due October 24,2010. She is healthy and growing well. We had a great visit it was so neat to see her on the monitor. We were able to see her moving and yawning. I loved seeing Johns face when we found out we were going to a baby girl. He had a great big smile on his face and of course I was crying.I was also thinking of two people my grandmother and my little brother wishing they were there.
After our appointment we went to target and started our registry. It was so weird because we had avoided this section for so long and now we were there shopping for our little miracle. John and I are so happy that words can not express how we are feeling right now. Next weekend we are going to Babies R US to register and get her a couple of things for her room. We did decided we are painting her room a pale mint green and her bedding will be baby elephants.
Oh I forgot to mention the night before our appointment I woke up with horrible abdominal cramps and our ultrasound showed it was actually braxton hicks contractions. It worried us at first but Dr. Schilling told us that its not uncommon for me to have them right now but they normally happen later on in pregnancy. I just have to monitor them and if the happen for frequent I have to go to the hospital to get medication to stop them. He said I have to stay off my feet and drink plenty of fluids.
Tomorrow is Father's Day so we are heading to Fayetteville to see spend time with our families. We get to show off our ultrasound pictures of Kaylee. Sorry it took so long to post this blog we had a bad storm on monday and it fried our modem so we were without the internet until yesterday afternoon. Our next appointment is July 12th it will be a check up and I think they will do the glucose test not sure. More to come later :0 )

20 wks
I m feeling great and we find out on Tuesday what we are having. It seems like these last couple of days are taking forever to get here. We are so ready to find out!!!
The baby has been moving and kicking alot this week. John was able to feel a kick for the first time which was amazing to him. He loves to feel for any baby kicks or movements. We also got to see my belly move and see when the baby kicks. We now spend our evenings just watching and feeling my belly.
This weekend I made one of the hardest trips in my life. I went with my parents to Camp Lejeune, North Carolina to see my little brother before he deployed. It was hard to let him go but I know God is with him and he will protect him. We had a great time while we were at Camp Lejeune lots of memories that I will never forget. So today my little brother Lcpl Rodriguez, Jeffrey A. deployed to Afghanistan at 9am. Not a day will go by that I wont think about him. I will pray for him and all the troops everyday for a safe return home. The only communication we will have is just to write letters. We are also allowed to send packages that have batteries, gum, granola bars, and socks. I miss him so much already. My family is strong in faith and we support each other through this hard time. Our great news on Tuesday will bring everyones moral back up. God gave us this baby at the right time.
