6 months

Kaylee now weighs 17lbs 4 oz and is 26 1/2 inches long. She is now eating stage 2 foods and oatmeal for breakfast. She loves to eat! Kaylee trying to learn to push up in a crawling position. Its so cute she ll have both knees bent and her butt up the only thing missing is if she could get her upper half up.

On April 22 Kaylee had tubes put in her ears because she has had 5 ear infections this year so far. This last ear infection lasted 2 weeks and her pediatrician said the only way for her ears to get better was to have tubes put. We got up at 5am to arrive at the hospital at 5:45am for her surgery. John and I were so nervous the entire time. We were able to be with Kaylee until they took her back to OR for the surgery. She was such a good baby while we were waiting for our turn in the OR. We played together and she even took a nap. She never cried or fussed. When it was time to for her surgery we prayed as a family for God to protect and heal her. Twenty minutes later I was holding my baby girl again, such relief that the surgery was finally over. Kaylee held on to me so tight as if saying don't ever let me go mommy. I will never forget that feeling!

Kaylee had her first Easter we celebrated it in Fayetteville with both of our families. John and I made her an Easter basket filled with lots of goodies like a sippy cup, earrings, a book, and a new bath toy. She also got one big gift from us a sit-to-walk walker which she loves because it sings all kinds of songs. Me maw and papper gave her a gift bag and nana and grandpa also gave her an Easter basket. We had a great time!
